Advanced Business Law Training offers its services to lawyers, by lawyers, and to business managers and executives, by business managers and executives.


Ms. Weintraub is founder of ACCORD, LLC, a company offering dispute resolution services, and Weintraub Legal Services, a firm which offers primarily corporate law services. She is an accomplished lawyer, business executive and entrepreneur with over 25 years’ experience negotiating complex commercial transactions.

In her dispute resolution firm, Ms. Weintraub has handled over 50 mediations and arbitrations, including disputes in the following areas: stock purchase, asset purchase, distributor, equipment lease, retail, health care provider, family business, partnership, employment, franchise, accounting, financing, intellectual property licensing, real estate broker, auto dealership, transportation, gas pipeline leasing, attorney/client and consumer cases. In her legal practice she represents a wide variety of clients, from high technology companies to insurance brokers, retail stores, healthcare providers, construction contractors, marketing firms and manufacturers.

Ms. Weintraub previously served as a General Manager at a multi-billion dollar transportation company, and was responsible for overseeing several $100 million plus equipment acquisitions. She also served as in house counsel for that transportation company, where she was principally responsible for all legal issues and major contract negotiations for the Materials Management, Finance and Information Technology departments as well as handling various regulatory issues. In her management and legal roles Ms. Weintraub negotiated numerous equipment acquisitions and leveraged lease financings of purchases over $100 million as well as several complex transactions such as IT outsourcing contracts.Ms. Weintraub is a certified mediator with the International Mediation Institute, a mediator and arbitrator for the American Arbitration Association and for the CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, and an arbitrator for the Better Business Bureau. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Michigan and received her BA degree Summa Cum Laude from Mount Holyoke College. Ms. Weintraub is licensed to practice law in Pennsylvania, Maryland and DC.

Ms. Weintraub is a frequent presenter and writes on ADR topics. She has also served in many leadership roles.  Ms. Weintraub is past Chair of the Governing Body of the ATHENAPowerLink® NAWBO® Delaware Valley, a program that provides advisors to mentor women business owners.  She is also Vice Chair of the Pennsylvania Bar Association’s ADR CLE Committee and serves on the ADR Committee of the Chester County Bar Association.  Further information on her leadership roles can be found on the Leadership page of this website.

  Harrie_SamarasHARRIE SAMARAS, ESQ.

Ms. Samaras founded the ADR & Law Office of Harrie Samaras, and she co-founded Advanced Business Law Resources with Judy Weintraub.  

Earlier in her career, Ms. Samaras served as Director of Intellectual Property Litigation for a former Fortune 100 telecommunications company and as Vice President Intellectual Property, Legal for a business unit of a multi-national drug delivery/pharmaceutical company.  And for many years she represented clients in private practice, focusing on intellectual property litigation.  Through these roles Ms. Samaras  has garnered in-depth experience in litigation, performing early case assessment, negotiating a variety of commercial contracts, representing clients in ADR processes and designing and implementing conflict management and dispute resolution processes.

In her ADR practice, Ms. Samaras focuses on commercial cases including disputes involving intellectual property, business and technology and other commercial contracts, and she has mediated disputes involving personal injury and other civil matters.

Ms. Samaras is a Harvard trained mediator, certified with the International Mediation Institute, and she is a Fellow of the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. She is an approved arbitrator and mediator by the U.S. District Court for the Eastern District of Pennsylvania, and she serves as a Neutral on an ad hoc basis and for such well-respected ADR providers as: CPR International Institute for Conflict Prevention and Resolution, American Arbitration Association, World Intellectual Property Organization, and the International Chamber of Commerce (ICC).

Ms. Samaras earned a Master of Laws degree from The George Washington University National Law Center and a Juris Doctor degree from The University of Baltimore School of Law. She also holds Masters and Bachelor of Science Degrees from the University of Maryland. 

Ms. Samaras is a frequent presenter, trainer and writer for ABLR and her own practice in the area of dispute resolution. She recently edited and published the book ADR Advocacy, Strategies, and Practice for Intellectual Property Cases.  

Over the years Ms. Samaras has served in many leadership roles.  Her most current ones include: serving on the Council of the Dispute Resolution Section of the American Bar Association (ABA); serving on the Content Advisory Board for the Intellectual Property Section of the ABA; chairing the ADR Committee of the American Intellectual Property Law Association; serving on the Advisory Council of the Franklin Pierce Center for Intellectual Property of the University of New Hampshire School of Law; and serving on a task force for the Women in Dispute Resolution Committee of the ABA.
